    Elapsed time Formulas

I need to know how to put a formula in Excel 2003 that will calculate elapsed time from one DATE to another in HOUR format?

Example: from 9/12/13 08:30 to 9/15/13 14:30 is how many hours?

    I need the formula PLEASE

I already know how to calculate time within a 24hr period but not with multiple days.

With the latest value in B2, use:

    =24*(B1-A1)

and format the cell with the formula to "General"

    Re: Elapsed time Formulas

This looks great but MY issue is a need to enter and add elapsed time values as enter from a stopwatch. When I enter 18 mins 44 secs (18:44) when the cell is formated with CUSTOM, mm:ss, it shows as 12:18:44PM. I need to enter time values for specific events and then add for the total time value.
