Formulas for cumulative value and cumulative %

How do I find the following using excel formulas:
What is the total number of items that are A
What is the total number of items that are B
What is the total number of items that are C

What is the cumulative value of the A items
What is the cumulative value of the B items
What is the cumulative value of the C items
What is the cumulative % in units of the A items
What is the cumulative % in units of the A and B items


Now for the total numbers I'm using the =COUNTA function since I only want to count the non-empty cells. I'm stuck on the other questions.
