MIN formula yields inaccurate result when using negative number

    =min(sum(k7:n7)-sum(t7:v7)+min(sum(o7:q7)-sum(w7:y7),0),ae7,af7,ag7)+sum(am7:ao7)-sum(at7:av7)

THE SPREADSHEET IS ATTACHED BELOW. :D

A positive number effects the inventory numbers accurately.

A negative number (shrink) does not.

    Spreadsheet is posted below.
The row titled Green Beans yields accurate results; one item is added to stock each day.
The next row, Red Chard, SHOULD read 9, 8, 7, 6, etc to reflect having one item removed from stock each day yet it seems that using a negative number or subtracting shrink consistently yields a wrong result.

    Thank you for your time.

I don't follow your formula in what exactly its trying to do. What are columns L through Q doing? It seems like this could be a lot simpler.

Re: MIN formula yields inaccurate result when using negative number

It is a running list of what is in stock. So, what is being delivered on any given day (ETA), what is sold on any given day, what is returned to stock and what is shrunk from stock. All of these create a running total of what is available.

When I return something to stock (positive number) the formula works. When I remove something from stock (shrink / subtraction) it does not.

    Thanks for your interest.

It probably could be a lot simpler but I did not develop the original formula. I wondered today if I should start from scratch instead of adapting someone else's work.
