Weight Loss Tracking Formula - Rounded

I found a formula in one of the threads that showed how to track ongoing progress of additions and subtractions for a weight loss chart. When I plugged the formula into my own sheet, it displayed very long decimal results. Would like to add something that will shorten to 2 decimal places - I don't want to round it to a whole number. I'm sure it's something simple and I've just been looking at it for too long.

You can use FIXED function to get 2 decimals, e.g.

    ="Total "& FIXED(C4-LOOKUP(9^9,C4:AI4),2)
    Audere est facere

Although it looks like you have the solution you need, you should also know how the ROUND function works. FIXED returns text, although Excel will treat that text as a number if you try to use it as a number*. ROUND returns a number, and has the same syntax. ROUND doesn't just round to an integer, it can round to any number of decimal places.

*In practical terms, I am not sure why Excel differentiates between "a number" and "text that is treated just like a number".
