How can I use excel to solve complex integrals

please somebody should help me with how to solve complex integrals like the equations below.

1. P(UCS|µ,σ)=1/(σUCS√2Π) exp{-1/2 [(In(UCS)-µ)/σ]^2 }


2. P(Data׀µ,σ)=1/(√((1.587σ )^2+(1.352 )^2 ) √2Π) exp{-1/2 [(ξ-(1.352µ-1.044))/√((1.587σ )^2+(1.352 )^2 )]^2 }

What are you trying to solve for?

I'd suggest using a maths program rather than excel would be better for this though. Even if you could set it up in excel it would be much slower than a maths program with solver routines designed for these sorts of problems.

Matlab/Mathcad I guess are the two main ones but you can get open source software such as octave. You can always control them from excel via vba if you need to use excel as an interface.

I'd suggest using a specialist maths program rather than excel for that.

If you load the "analysis tool-pack" add in there are a bunch of functions for complex arithmetic in there (things like =complex(), =imsum(), =imdiv(), =improduct()) and so on. That would allow you to formulate those equations in excel but and you could try and use the excel solver but I doubt it would work very well.

Agreed with yudlugar.

I think that this sounds more like a case of you solving these (density functions based on the Central Limit Theorem?) via some in-depth mathematical study and, if necessary, application of software more applicable than Excel.
