make a calender by giving start date and end date

can you help me to make a calender in excel by giving start date and end date.
and count of number of days in below cell.
to better explain what i want i have attached a pdf.

gives a similar layout, although it is for a different application and you specify the year rather than a start and end date, but perhaps you can amend that.
