Very confusing formula (for me) If cell range = cell * cell

    Hi all,

First time poster, new user, my brain hurts! I am trying to create a formula that Searches a range cells, if it matches a specific cell, multiples by the number(s) next to it.

For example, on the below if B3:G37 = R16 multiple by the cell NEXT to it, so in this instance for the Giga 10 RRV found in R16 I'd want a figure of 6, as there are 6 beside the Giga 10 RRV, I hope I have explained this well? As it's breaking my head. lol

    Any help appreciated.

welcome to the forum. i can't figure out where is the multiplication. if you mean you want to sum up Column H when you can find the column R value in Column B, then:
    =SUMIF(B:B,R16,H:H)

that's for R16, which will give you a 6. is that right?

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

OK! That worked, you are amazing, but that was just a sample and I can't seem to replicate it on my actual document, can you please post the same for the attached? If you scroll down to row 280 you will see the same table, the only difference is this only needs to be applicable for rows
282 to 316, as I don't want it calculating the other items?

Also, if you could explain how the formula works that might help me in future, you genuis you!
