Hello, I'm a basic excel user and need a little help. I'm trying to enter sequential numbers using the normal and gamma inverse functions (not together but in separate tabs). For example, I want gamma inv(.001,a,b), gamma inv (.002,a,b)... On up to gamma inv (.999,a,b). Whenever I use the fill handle after the first two it just repeats those two numbers over and over again. Is there any way to remedy this error?
=GAMMAINV(ROWS(A$1:A1)/1000, a, b)

Hi. Sorry, that first file I uploaded was a previous version. This one is the updated version. The sequence I need is under the x variables from b07:b1007. I've tried a dozen formulas (not excel functions) to get the sequence I need but none of them seem to work. Maybe I'm imputing your formula wrong?
In B7 and copy down,
=GAMMAINV(ROWS(B$7:B7)/1000,$B$3,$B$4)
That's ROWS(), not ROW().
Oh my Gosh, thank you so much. You're a lifesaver! I fear I have a million & a half things to learn about excel... maybe more. I was searching for sequences with gamma functions for about a hundred hours before I decided to break down and ask for help. You deserve extra turkey today.
