    Conditional formatting in one column based on the result of another

    If you see attached, PSF tab... where it says warning column...

    If the warning says below contract then I would like to format the 'Net CV' column in the same way i.e. the number orange and white as well
    If the warning says penalty then I would like to format the 'Net CV' column in the same way i.e. the number red and white as well

    This doesn't work for me, when I apply to the whole sheet, the wrong values are being highlighted...

    You didn't say you wanted it for the whole row. See attached.

    BTW, not sure whose post you are addressing nor what exactly is wrong with either mine or Pete's beside i had formatted the wrong column.

    EDIT: didn't understand you wanted the whole row.
