Conditional Format - Dates greater than 18 months and 24 months

    Here's my problem:

I have a date column (Column E: Date Entered) on my spreadsheet that I need to set conditional formatting on. There are two conditions:

    1) 18 months from the date in the cell needs to be highlighted yellow
    2) 24 months from the date in the cell needs to be highlighted red

It seemed simple enough when I started but I'm having trouble figuring this one out. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Amanda

Sorry, not clear: which cells are you trying to conditionally format, and based on which dates?!

Re: Conditional Format - Dates greater than 18 months and 24 months

I am trying to conditionally format all of the cells in Column E. There is currently only data in E10 and E11 but eventually there will be data in all cells in column E. The dates are based on those dates in column E.

The reader needs to know immediately upon looking if the date that they entered into the program is getting close to (18 months) or at (24 months) the certification period end date. Sorry for not being clear, I'm not yet used to the forum. Let me know if this answers the question.

So if the date in column E is more than 24 before todays date, colour cell red, is that correct?

And if the date in column E is more than 18 months before todays date, but less than 24 months before todays date, then colour the cell yellow? Is this the right logic?

Okay. So, in cells E8:E21, apply the following conditional formatting formulas:

    Colour red:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Colour yellow:

This worked like a charm! Thank you so much for your help. Just had to make sure the 2nd condition didn't override the first and I was set. Much appreciated!
