Need help with linking check boxes

There must be an easier way to achieve what I've done in the attachment??
Put a tick in the box which equates to percentage of the complete column.

It just seems very long winded.
If this is the best way to complete, where would be best place to position the DATA in the bottom right of the screen?

I have started to watch some tutorials on YouTube on VBA that looks the way to go, but I've only just started, looks like I have a long way to go to use it confidently.

Any advice/recommendations welcome.

this is through conditional formatting, select one of the cells and then click on conditional formatting icon in the styles group and edit the formula to see how this works.

There is absolutely no macro used. For your requirement , i think this is apt for you.
