Need help finding total time of a tasks listed by comma separated values in a single cell

Hello, this is my first post in the forum, thank you in advance for any help.

I am slowly but surely building a spreadsheet to analyze different elements of a training schedule. After looking at several posts I am having trouble finding a function or macro that will allow me to add up the time given to a particular training task. I have attached a sample spreadsheet to help understand what I am trying to do. I have two sets of data that are similar, but have different qualities.

I found a macro that places multiple items (CTTL and Core Tasks) in columns A and E into a drop down list as comma separated values. Within this list you can select more than one item or select an item a second time to remove it from the cell.

Columns B and F count the number of CSV items selected in the drop down box for A and E

Columns C and G are the total amount of time in hours given to a particular task.

Columns D and H are the result of the hours divided by the number of items in B and F. The result is how I break down each task in to a fraction of an hour. In cell A2 there are two tasks that I am dividing 1 hour (C2) equally between each of them to equal .5 hours (D2).

I want to add up total of time per task listed in columns A and E next to their task code in columns K and M. These totals will be used in a pie chart and provide a way of tracking each training task down to the minute over the entire course.

Hi and welcome to the forum

If you have the initial data (before the macro combines them all) it might be easier to use that instead? Also, could you provide a few sample answers with your data
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Wow, that works great. There is no way I could have figured that out on my own.
