Hi to all,
I have built a pivot table that shows parts used during a period of years. I need help in creating a formula that would sum each part by a particular year.
The table is as follows
A part number
B date
C total quantity
I want to display the totals on a separate sheet
Any help would be highly appreciated

Hi and welcome to the forum,
I suggest that you upload a sample spreadsheet with about 10-15 rows of data so we could figure our a solution for you.
To upload a file click on Go Advanced on the bottom of your screen, then click on paperclip icon and Add Files.

Thank you for the prompt reply.
Here is my case: I have 30000 lines of data where part_no is sorted by job number, so i can have multiple lines that have the same part_no description. I need to get the sum of each individual part_no for a particular year.
I have posted just a couple of rows from the complete table
Your file has linked data where the dates are and they all gone as soon as I opened your file.

I completely forgot about it.
I have added fake dates just to illustrate how this works. In the PivotTable click on Group Filed located in Options on the ribbon and select Year and unselect everything else.
