Drop down pulls string value (paragraph) and is concatenated.

New user with basic knowledge faced with a multi-part challenge.

I have a list of 10 items (multiple words) in a drop down

Based on what is selected in the drop-down, I am trying to figure out the best way for it to pull the corresponding text paragraph. This would then be concatenated with a numerical value inputed b the user in another cell. The final output would be displayed in a final cell.

I have figured out how to concatenate between one cell and the other cell with the paragraph but I am at a loss for how to make it more dynamic in the sense that the drop down selection drives the paragraph being selected and then taking the value in cell A1 to concatenate within that paragraph and outputting the final text to be copied out from excel.

I tried looking at posts for dependent data verification and I felt like I was on the right track but hit a wall.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Okay, not sure of the flow here. User inputs a 2. does that influence the dropdown choices? or whether Text 1 or Text 2 is chosen? If the second, then is the maximum value the user can enter a 2?

On using lists on other pages. Use a defined name and then you can use that name in your data validation. for example, I named Data!B2:B11 = DataList
and then in data validation, used = DataList

    Sample2.xls
User input box does not impact drop down choice.
User input is a numerical variable that is only used to concatenate into the final text output.

I am not familiar if excel can concatenate at a specific location within a text string (such as a paragraph) so i split the two text items into two options so I could just insert the concatenation in the middle. I uploaded a new sample to show this.

Okay, take a look at the attached. I named the list DataList as I mentioned earlier. I then moved all your choices over to the DataTab into a table which I named DataTable. Then I used VLOOKUP to pull back the proper results

Here, I placed a "^" in the single string where you wanted the number inserted (see data!C15:C24) and then used this formula (Main!A35)
