hi kuzna. it would be something like:
=SUM(Sheet1:Sheet10!A1)

it's called 3-D referencing. read about it in here:

Re: Sheet 1 ....Sheet 10 Total

As your number of sheets seem to be changing, perhaps create a sheet called "Start" which you place before all the others and a sheet called "End" after all the sheets. ( sheet names are not relevant)

Then use =SUM(Start:End!A1) as the esteemed Guru's suggested. You can then add any number of sheets between those two, the formula will work.
(I think you can also hide the Start and End Sheet)

To add to Pepe's suggestion, you can also remove sheets just by dragging then outside of the start/end sheets
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Sheet 1 ....Sheet 10 Total

4 issues.
Here's the formula you said you used
=SUM(one!:Ten!A1)

1. There is no sheet named Ten in the book you posted
2. You don't use an ! after the first sheet, only after the 2nd.
3. You don't have a number in A1 of the sheet named One (it's the letter S)
4. The sheet named One is actually named "One " <- notice the space at the end.

So
Rename "One " to "One"
Create a new sheet named "Ten"
Make shere the Sheet Ten is placed to the RIGHT of Sheet One
Put NUMBERS in A1 of those sheets.
Then use this formula on the Total Sheet

=SUM(One:Ten!A1)

Hope that helps.
