hi guys...
perhaps, you could help me about SUM data with multiple row then multiple *10
see this for example : (start from col.a) ;
item1 3 desired result
2 (*10) 23 = 3 + (2*10)
item2 5 5
item3 2 45
3
4 (*10)
In advance thanks for your help,

Hi, the example in the post was hard to interpret.
Could you upload a sample spreadsheet?

ok alvin, here my sample...
Hi John, the last cost for items more than 2 rows always in the format of #(*10)? Or it's just for illustration?
I mean the original value of B3 is 3 or 3(*10)? original value of B7 is 4 or 4(*10)?

sorry alvin, in OP #1 its just for illustration....
my sample workbook is used...
for your question, for value of B3 is 3(*10) and B7 is 4*(10)....
number 10 is constant and number 3 (B3) or 4(B7) just for my illustration...
i get some formula this below but it's to long, maybe you could make more simple and shorter...
usually, i know you have brilliant ideas and thinking out the box....
here new upload sample after formula above..Please Login or Register to view this content.
Alvin, thanks again...
Hi John, your formula seems ignoring the case if there's only 1 row, which I assume you wouldn't want to multiply by 10 if there's only 1 row?
ps: I think your formula will be a lot more longer if were to take care of such scenario

Here's a simple version (without using INDEX) of array formula (ctrl+shift+enter) that take care of situation when there's only 1 row.

Try another modified version (shorter but might be volatile) of array formula (ctrl+shift+enter)
