vlookup to convert row of cells into column of cells (transpose)

    Hi everybody,

I just started learning about Vlookup, it's really cool stuff!
Here is my issue, i'm trying to take a selected row of about 7 cells (which are obviously all positioned horizontally) and have it inserted, via vlookup using the drop down option of 'Data Validation', to another location but having all the cells lined up vertically, meaning going down 7 cells. I would guess that a shorter explanation of what i'm trying to do is to have the vlookup transpose 7 cells.
    Any help is most appreciated

    Thanks!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.

Thanks, can you briefly explain to me the formula? Also, how would you modify the formula to take cells B-E to be in column B, and F-H in column C?
Hope i'm not making you too crazy

    Used vlookup.
    Your criteria is always B6.
Your table to lookup values is Sheet2, Range B3:F22, and the column is set by where the accordingly. The zero at the end indicates an exact match.

    See the attached file.

Oh wow1 Thank you. Thanks for explaining. If it's not too much to ask from you but can you tell me how I can automatically have another box (which would be the 'ship to' address (as opposed to the company info) to be automatically added as well once B6 is filled out? Here is the attachment Vlookup_test2.xlsx
I'm sorry but I didn't realize this might also be an issue otherwise I wouldn't have asked it

Same concept. In E6 typed =B6
Changed the lookup to the second table.
