    Help with IF formula

    Hello,

I need help with the IF formula. For example, if cell A1 has a value and if B1 does not, then the cell C1 should highlight automatically. Please help me create this formula.

    Re: Help with IF formula

You cannot highlight cells by entering formulas in cells. You would need conditional formatting for this purpose.

Click on cell C1. Goto Home Tab >> Conditional formatting >> New Rule >> Use a formula to determine which cells to format >> and enter this formula =AND(A1<>"",B1="")
    Select formatting of your choice.

    Check attached for an example.
