Conditional Formatting seems like the tool to use but I can't seem to find the formula to define what I need.
When I enter a date into E7 I need the cells in row 7 columns A through G to be filled with a background color.
Please and thank you

I updated your title for you, please be more descriptive next time
1. highlight the range you want to apply the conditional formatting to
2. on the home tab, styles, select CF
3. select new rule, select use formula
4. enter =E7<>"" format fill as needed
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Thank you for both the re-title and the formula for the CF.
I did as you said (several times), but the only cell that became formatted with a background color was A7.

4. enter =$E7<>"" format fill as needed
