Objective: To get a M,F,Unisex value into a csv file of 1 million rows from another csv file that has two columns; column 1=first name, colum 2=m,f,unisex

use a vlookup, and then resave as CSV?

Hi Doogster, perhaps opening the csv file in Excel as 2 columns, replace "m" to "M"; "f" to "F"; "u" to "U" in column 2, remove column A and save it as csv?

wow simple Vlookup.
I was able to copy paste my records of first names into the large csv workbook and watch some vlookup videos. Thanks guys!
