Finding the total of two column a says "text" and column b says "text"

I am brand new to excel (and learning quickly). I am trying to get some specific results from a google poll, but I'm hitting a snag. I'm looking for a formula that will add the total number of results that have two answers of text.

    Example:
    Column A Column B
    Never Yes
    1-2 times No
    Never No
    3-5 times Yes
    Never Yes

I would like to get the total of all the rows that have "never" in column A AND a "Yes" in column B. So this example would be 2 people that answered this way.
    Thank you!!

I couldn't get it to work. It is giving me a "parse error" Now that you mention it, I don't know if I am using excel 2003 - its on the google drive, so whatever is the newest version I would assume. Not sure if that changes anything.

Actually, that changes everything. Google docs/spreadsheet is not Excel.

If you move the data into Excel, you may have better luck.
