Possibly Easy: Making an "Other" with Countifs; "Not this, this, or this"

I have tried a few things and I am not having luck with this type of formula.. although I'm sure it's a pretty easy answer.

I have 4 names categories I am doing countifs for, but I want to lump the rest in an "Other" Category. How would I do:

=countifs(<range1>, "Role", <range 2>, "not this, this or this") ?
