betting strategy, IF amount won is less than starting amount, increase bet

    Roullete betting strategy.xlsx

Almost all roulette betting strategies I have come across call for increasing the bet after so many losses, so that by the time you finally win a spin you win back all money previously lost, plus at least $1, or whatever the minimal betting unit is.

Looking at the Bet column, I have to manually adjust the bet amount to ensure that the win amount ends up being more than Starting Amount. I picture this as the first bet amount (cell B4) being manually entered, and from there I would guess in B5 and down an IF function would be in the cell which basically reads, Bet is same as in cell B4, if amount won is less than starting amount, increase bet until amount won is greater than starting amount.

    Can anyone help me out?

I am not a gambler, so I am not quite sure if this is what you are looking for.

I am not quite sure what you did with the macro, however when I click the buttons some of the amount if win values are less than the starting amount, which would mean an overall loss of money. What I would like to show is when there finally is a win, that it puts you at least $1 over the starting amount.

I was unable to determine in my mind a proper logic to make that happen. If you can give me the logic in simple laymen's terms, then I am sure that we can develop a proper executable formula or macro. You can look at the formulas I applied by clicking on Alt + F11 to see the VBA

What I pictured and tried, but I couldn't figure an way to make it function, this is what would occupy B5

Part of what makes it difficult is the fact that this calculates the different payoffs. So I can calculate a 1:1 pay off or a 35:1 payoff, which the two would have very different bet progressions. figuring out a formula that would adjust and still be appropriate when I change the payoff is well beyond my capabilities.

If you look at the VBA solution, what you are suggesting is what I wrote. Suggest you examine the VBA and maybe tweak it? or offer up another logic. I took the payoff selection into account. That is the reason for the reset. You should reset before you change the payoff.
