ignore direct text matches but sum related opponents ( Title=WIP)

First off, did not know how to label the thread title, I will take recommendations. But here is what I am trying to figure out (I have attached a test worksheet with the answers i need).

In A2:A7, I have matchups between 2 teams. It shows who beat who.
In columns C, E & G, it shows which team is being tracked.
In columns B, A & F, it shows which teams columns C, E & G have played against.

Starting with cell C2, I am tracking Team A and, according to A2:A7, Team A has only played Team B, but they played each other twice. 2 is the result in cell C2 because Team B has played only 1 other game against another opponent (cell A3 - 'B beats C'). That 1 game would yield a result of 1 but since Team A played Team B twice, 2x1=2. These same rules apply for E2:E3 & G2:G3.

If this cannot be done I could settle for the correct way to write this formula.
