Combine SUMPRODUCT function with an a range

Can someone help me with this:

=SUMPRODUCT(--(Sheet2!$D$3:$D$20000=B4),--(Sheet2!$R$3:$R$20000=""),--(Sheet2!$A$3:$A$20000="OPEN"))

with range: K8:K9

And if the range (K8:K9) are shall between the date I3 and J3.

eg.
K8 = 26/12/2012
K9 = 25/1/2013

While
I3 = 30/12/2012 (issue date)
J3 = 24/1/2013 (closed date)

Can these 2 range & condition insert into SUMPRODUCT function above???
