Is There A Way To Show Tooltips (Description) On Data Validation Lists?

I want to know if it is possible to show tooltips for each option on the validation list (E.g Course Codes) when the cursor is going over them, so that users will be able to see the description of the codes and what it means for guidance purpose.

In the Data Validation Tab, See the Tab called Input Message.

But, the user will have to click over the Cell to view the Tooltip.

You dont seem to get what I want. Let me explain

Let us assume that my options in the Validation List are: SSSE, JSSE, AESS, BESS and the full description of these acronyms are

- SSSE (Senior Secondary School Certificates)
- JSSE (Junior Secondary School Certificates)
- AESS (Advanced Elementary School certificate)
- BESS (Basic Elementary School Certificate)

When a user click on validation list cells with heading "Certificate", options SSSE, JSSE, AESS and BESS will be listed vertically.

Now when a user pauses the cursor over SSCE, for example, it should display (as a tooltip)"Senior Secondary School certicate" which is the description for SSCE so that user will know what SSCE means.

Is this possible?
