    Having Issues with Conditional Formatting...

I've created an inventory sheet that has two columns that I focus on. The first column, Qty, is the amount that is needed. The second column, Received, is the amount that was received.

I have conditional formatting set to compare "Qty" to "Received". If the value in the "Received" column doesn't match the value in the "Qty" then the cell fills in yellow and makes the text red and bold.

The issue that I'm running into is that even when the cells in "Received" do match the cells in "Qty", the cell stays yellow with red, bold text. It will change to no formatting when I retype the value in the "Qty" column.

    For example,

    Qty cell - 5
    Received cell - 5

I have to go back into the Qty cell containing 5 and type "5" and hit enter and then the formatting disappears in the "Received" cell.

I've attached my document for reference.

Can anybody figure out why this would be? It's driving me insane. If I absolutely have to, I can retype those values every time but I feel like there should be an easier way...

NOTE: I have a macro that runs and pulls this specific page out of another workbook and then applies the conditional formatting an inserts the "Received" column (as it isn't in the original excel worksheet)

Where do you mean to put that formatting in?

Right now I've got the cells conditionally formatted as

    Format only cells that contain...
    Cell Value, Equal to, =$D3

do you mean to replace the =$D3 with the above?

or to select Use a formula to determine which cells to format?
