    Calculate calendar days

I have a list of months in column A and would like a formula in column B that calculates the number of calendar days for each month (i.e. Jan=31, Feb=28 etc.)
    Thanks in advance

    Re: Calculate calendar days

That would vary for Feb from year to year.

Try this where you can just change month number (1,2,3,... ) in A2:

For Fotis soution you need to have whole date (like 15.4.2014)

OR formatting that whole date as m.

    Re: Calculate calendar days

As long as the month & year are entered then Fotis' equation works fine (you just got in Fotis before I was going to respond) and this then also covers for leap years

Of course, you can do that to show number 1,2,3... but formatting is not important. What is important is how value is entered in the cell.
That's what need to be clarified for the user.

So the column heading could say 'Enter Month as MM/YY' and as long as the cell is formatted correctly then everything will work fine
