IF Statement - minus one Statement from the other

    Hi all,

Been looking at this for hours and can't work it out.

I am looking to have one formula containing two If Statements that minus.

    =IF(B6="investment",C6,0)-IF(B7="gross",C6,0)

So the result of If Statement 1 minus the result of If Statement 2.

What I am seeing at the moment in the cell is FALSE and what I want to see is the sum.

    Thanks in advance

I'm not sure how you could be entering this formula incorrectly.

I'd recommend posting an example of your work or creating one. You can attach files by clicking Go Advanced, and then using Manage Attachments to browse to your file.

    Maybe check your parentheses?

Format the cell as General, or Number (with however decimal places you require). Note, you will only ever get values of +C6, zero or -C6 with that formula.

    Hope this helps.
