Formula to show deductions and balance

What type of formula do I have to write to show a value in one cell then deductions in the next cell. I want to keep a value in cell A1 then in b1, b2, b3,b4 etc the amount taken from cell A1 so it shows my remaining balance.

Hello, What I'm looking to do is some type of inventory deductions. I have a starting value say $5,000.00 in cell A1. Payments come in every week so I want to enter the payments line by line. I want to see each payment deducted from the $5,000.00.

Is this possible?
