    Convert row into column

I am trying to convert a row with cells referring to other cells (or with formulas in them) into columns, but paste special - transpose does not do the trick; the reference somehow changes when I try to paste it in, say A5 in the example file. I have excel for mac.

    any suggestions?

    thanks

Using your posted workbook...here's one approach:
    • Select A3:E3
    • CTRL+H
    ...Find what: =
...Replace with: |= That's a pipe-character (above the ENTER key)
    ...Click: Replace all

    • CTRL+C
    • Select G1
    • Right_Click.Paste_Special...Transpose

    • Select G1:G5
    • CTRL+H
    ...Find what: |=
    ...Replace with: =
    ...Click: Replace all

Is that something you can work with?
