Date Picker and preset dates

Hi, in the attached file, I am using two date pickers (starting and ending date) to select a period of time, the date pickers are linked to Q2 and Q4 cells, and the formula in the O column is looking at the dates selected by the date pickers to establish if the date in the D column is within the required period or not.
What I am trying to do is to have a button with preset dates, so that if I will press the "last 12 moths" button , the Q2 and Q4 cells will be set at TODAY-365 and TODAY, for example. I have tried to use the TODAY function directly in the cells but the formats aren't matching with the current ones. If there is another way to do this I'm open to suggestions.
