    Drop-down choice affects another Cell

    Hello,

Hopefully I explain my problem clearly.

I am trying to create a job estimate calculator on excel. I have different options people can input and it gives them a total price for the job. The problem I have is in the calculator there are some drop-down choices and I need the each different choices to affect the total price.

For example, if one the of the drop-down choices were "weekly" "every two weeks" or "monthly" I would need each choice to add or subtract a certain amount to the total price.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

So you need to adapt the formula so that it takes this into account. Unfortunately, without seeing your workbook, we can't tell you how ...

I believe that you are trying to use dependent combo boxes. Look at this link on how to set that up.

Here's the worksheet. So you can plug in any number for bed/bath and it affects the total. Now I need the drop down choices to affect the total. For example, bi-weekly adds $15, monthly adds $30

    Maybe something like this:

    =IF(B3="Weekly",(B1*5+50)+(B2),IF(B3="Monthly",(B1*5+50)+(B2*30),IF(B3="BI-Weekly",(B1*5+50)+(B2*15),"")))

Tried to plug in that formula. It just makes the total say true or false
