Hide a checkbox / click on a cell and have text auto enter into another cell

Is there a way to hide a checkbox behind a cell and still have it function. What I am trying to do is click on a cell and have it enter the text in that cell into another cell. I can get this to work with a checkbox linked to another cell but I would like to make the check boxes just disappear so that all the user has to do is click on the cell or double click it and the text from that cell would be copied and pasted to another cell. Maybe there is a way to do this some other way besides a checkbox which would be fine as well. Thanks.

Try clicking on cell A1 in the attached. The text will show up in cell D5.

OK, I am very much a novice in using VBA. I can't seem to assign the above to any other cell. Is there a button behind the cell? Thanks.
