    formatting a sum

    I need some help with correctly formatting the following calculation;

    I have a daily percentage rate of "0.0299%" in "ED5", I need to multiply this by 7 to get a weekly rate. Then I need to multiply "4,452" in box "EF5" by the weekly rate and get the sum; 4461.

    Any help would be great!

    Cheers guys

    I copied an pasted in your formula..
    This is how I work it on a calculator:
    0.0299% (ED5) x 7 = 0.2093 x 4,452 (EF5) % + .... = 4,461.

    Re: formatting a sum

    I solved it this way... =7*ED5*EF5+EF5 that = 4,461 which is correct.

    maybe is should be formulated different? I don't know.

    Re: formatting a sum

    No, it's OK.
    You can shorten it as =EF5(1+7*ED5)
    But that's it.
