validate data in excel prior to crm import-many fields, many rows...

    Hi
My CRM requires 20 fields (of its 50+ fields) to have data complying only to certain lists-of-values (LOVs).
Most LOVS are only a few options except one has 250.
Sometimes LOVs and schemas change as I run several CRMs.
How can I use Excel to 'test' my import data and identify fields that violate the LOVs.
So I can have them edited.
Each import file can be upto 10K rows.
Am open to turning this into a commercial job for someone who can help.

    1) Add a second sheet to your workbook and put the LOVs for each column into a column on the new sheet, one column per LOV for one field

    2) Use conditional formatting on your main data sheet to highlight the values in each column that do not match the LOVs for that column on the new sheet.

Attach a sample workbook with 4-5 rows of sample data and all your LOVs on a second sheet in the same workbook and we can demonstrate directly.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
