Formatting Cell to Show text in another cell

I recieved the spreadsheet from one of our clients and they have a weird formatting of cells. It looks as if a few cells are merged and the text is centered, but it is not. How did they do it? Please see the attached.

Ok, if you select a range of cells, and then right click, format,
Under Alignment, there's an option for horizontal formatting: Center Across Selection.

If you select B4:G4, and then select to center across it, it'll work perfectly without merging.

This is a great tip, as merging cells always messes with stuff later on!
