    ms access vs excel

    Hi,
I have got a massive database in ms access. It wont fit in excel. I want to analyse the data via various calculations though. Is it possible to calculate and analyse data in ms access without the help of excel because excel cannot handle that much of data.

    thanks,

It really depends how you want to analyse the data.

If you are performing complex analysis it might be an idea to allow Access to do the 'heavy lifting' to summarize data, eg sum/count/group, and then export to Excel for further analysis.
