Would like to update stock list from daily sales list

Hi Everyone

Can you help?

I have attached an Excel workbook which I need help with. This is a sales/stock/order workbook for a new venture.

I think it would be really nice and easy for users to have an ActiveX command button on the sales list that, once pressed, at the end of each day's sales, automatically updates the stock list, putting sold quantities against each item's code. Alternatively, a simple formula that when an item's code is input in one column, the quantity sold gets put in the stock list against that item's code.

Would anyone know what commands to give the ActiveX command button, or a formula to update the stock list from the sales list?

Please see attached sample. I have added an automatic macro that runs each time you enter a value in column H on the Sales sheet. So when you enter a new sale make sure that column H is the last column you fill in. As soon as you click Enter/Return in column H the new sale will be recorded automatically in the next blank row of the stock sheet.

Just checked out the macro. This adds the item sold to the 'order list' which is excellent as they will need to be replenished so thank you for that. We are also hoping that the sale quantity would be deducted from the 'stock list' (I created a column for 'sale' so if the qty sold automatically went into this column, then I could do a formula to deduct the sale from the stock list quantity.

I hope this makes sense!

Many thanks for taking the time to look at our spreadsheet - especially as it was over the Bank Hols weekend!!

However, I'm afraid it's possible I misunderstood my bosses requirements, so I think we're heading back to the drawing board with regard to this workbook.
