Hey all,
Just started a new internship and got throw into the middle of a big excel project. Essentially, we have a different workbook for each state, and the goal is to consolidate all of the workbooks into one. I've taken the Alabama workbook and added a drop down menu on a sheet that we'll call "Exhibit A" which contains all of the deliverables. Now, you can select any state, and the raw data will change from Alabama's to whatever the newly selected state's is.
Unfortunately, not all states share the same assumptions. For instance, cells on Florida's "Exhibit A" should be calculated with different formulae than how they are done on Alabama's. Sadly, even though the raw data will update, the assumptions associated with Alabama will now be applied to any state. What is the best way around this? Unfortunately, I cannot post a file to go along with the question, but I hope you get the idea and could maybe offer a starting point. Thank you!
