    Make a Categorical Frequency Table (Discrete data / Excel 2013)

    Can someone please translate these directions into something I can use in Excel 2013? I believe they were written for 2007.

    1. Type in all the blood types from Example down C1 of the worksheet. (I get this part)
    example:
    A B B AB O O O B AB B B B O A O A O O O AB AB A O B A

    2. Click above row 1 and name the column BloodType (I get this part too)

    3. Select Stat>Tables>Tally Individual Values (There does not appear to be a "Stat" in 2013)
    The cursor should be blinking in the Variables dialog box. If not, click inside the dialog box.

    3. Double-click C1 in the Variables list.

    4. Check the boxes for the statistics: Counts, Percents, and Cumulative percents. (I can get this far inserting a pivot chart, but I cannot figure out how to insert the Percents and Cumulative percents into the table. I don't think I should have to use a chart, but did get that far in my efforts.)

    6. Click [OK]. The results will be displayed in the Session Window as shown. (I doubt this will format correctly, but I will type it as appears in the textbook)

    Tally for Discrete Variables: BloodType
    BloodType Count Percent CumPct
    A 5 20.00 20.00
    AB 4 16.00 36.00
    B 7 28.00 64.00
    O 9 36.00 100.00
    N= 25

    Thank you!
