How to make excel realise that the dates actually do match....

Hi all,

I have two columns of dates that are the result of various calculations. I then have a third that calculates the difference between them.

Two dates are 11/02/14 and 11/02/14. But the third column says they're a day apart. Changing the format to numbers shows these dates are actually '41681.75' and '41681.00'....

I tried a rounding formula but of course that rounds up the first figure to 41682. Rounding it down would help in this instance but doesn't solve the problem for others.

Use INT or DATEVALUE to get the date part without the time part - the .75 is the time part in your example.s
