Hide/Mask Cell Data Unless Password Entered

I know the simplest thing to do is password protect the workbook itself, however I am wondering if there is a simple way to do this.

I have a workbook that has information about complaints, all the data is non-sensitive except for customer details in column B. What I would like to do is have a way that the workbook can be opened by anyone, but unless the password is entered, the Customer details would be hidden or masked (e.g. *********).

Is this something that is easy to do or would it be a VBA situation?

It would require VBA. Google excel force user to enable macros
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
