Temporarliy replace text with 3 dots when cell text overflows

This cannot be done with formulas (or formatting as far as I know), the only way (and even that may not be possible) would be to use some VBA code

I'd use conditional formatting for any cell that had text longer than a certain number of characters. I think using CF is possible and your wanting three dots isn't.
