    Hidden characters in Excel

    Hello,

I Just found out that multiple Excel lines in my files contains hidden characters that are not displayed in Excel.

When I copy-paste this content into Word, it is displayed as 2 square outlines. Each square outline has one more square outline inside.

Would you please let me know how to identify the origin of this issue?

It returned 69. Did I apply the formula correctly?

Just copy formula but replace cell where is your problematic data (in example B12, change with desired cell).

Char 69 is just "E" so I doubt it cause some errors.

Hello, You can find the issue below, after Octavius. (use the directional keys to navigate and the cursor will get "stuck"). This was copied directly from Excel.

Also, if you copy-paste this string in Excel, you'll get the unwanted hidden code.

    Re: Hidden characters in Excel

Well, after reading about the code function, I found out that the result for me is 63 = ? Did you get this results as well?

Is it possible to include this code unintentionally while typing text into excel?

Get the code number and translate it:

    =CHAR(CODE(LEFT(B12,1)))
You should hit F5, because chances are I've edited this post at least 5 times.
