    Automatic date Change

    Hi,

How do i get a date to update automatically once passed and continue to do so with no end date.

    For example

Vehicle Registration is due on 14/07/2014, How do i get the date to update to 14/07/2015 once passed in the same cell.

I would also like for the date to automatically update on a few other thing but every 3 months. Power bill due 20/07/2014 and update to 20/10/2014 once passed.

I have also set a rule for the each cells to change colour once it gets within 40 days of the current date. I would like this rule to stay.

    Thanks

    Re: Automatic date Change

You will need VBA for that if you want to have that date in the same cell.

But why not in the adject cell (with a formula)?

Since you don't add an excel file, without confidential information, I can't show you.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Strictly speaking, VBA is not necessary to provide a rolling date that is always the next payment after the current date.

This will give the date of the next annual event. Note that you must enter the month and day each in two places:

Doing this for every three months is possible but trickier, including the fact that the cycle can vary. I'll have to get back to you on that.

avk, it depends on what Deanbh wants. It isn't clear whether the date is supposed to roll over on the date, or after it passes.
