    Conditionally Formatting Help Please

I am trying to conditionally format a table. I have a table of tax reports that need filing by company, date, form, state, period ending, due date, date filed and initials of the filer. I would like to format the rows so that when either the date filed or the initials of the filer is populated, the whole row will be we highlighted. I have found out how to do this by writing the formula for one row while making the date filed greater than 0. Do I need to write a new rule for each row? I tried to select the whole table, but then it highlights the whole table because of one cell. Say I want H2>0, I want A2:J2 highlighted and same per row.

Select the area that you want to be conditionally formatted. Eg. A2:J500 then go to Conditional Formatting, New, Use Formula and enter
this formula. The whole row should be formatted as column H is populated.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Hi and werlcome to the forum

I have a feeling this is not really what you want. The row with a date and a name will remain highlighted for as long as those 2 cells are populated, so, for instance, if all the rows have a name and a date, then all the rows will be highlighted

    Re: Conditionally Formatting Help Please

Like usual, a representative workbook would be appreciated in getting a solution.

There has to be more to it than stated. I answered the question but, like FDibbins, I think there is more to it.

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
