    Format AutoRow Height

    Good Day,

I have found a problem with Excel 2010 that I am unable to correct. When I select a row (see attached, row 4, 12, 14, 15, 16) and use Format >
Auto Fit Row Height, nothing happens. Although I have more characters in the cell than fit in one space, the row will not expand to show the information. I thought if I used the Auto Fit Row Height it would expand the cell(s)/row(s)/table selected to automatically view all information in the cell. Obviously I was wrong! For now I have to manually drag the row height until the information fits and can be viewed.

Can someone tell me how this should work, or what I am doing incorrectly so that I can get it to work? Thanks.

    Dear cbatrody,

Thanks, it seems to be working now but how did you get it to work? The original workbook has multiple examples of this but is confidential so cannot email it. Can you share what you did to make it work?

    Thanks

    Re: Format AutoRow Height

    Hi,

In your file, you have several columns merged together. You need to unmerge them first, then increase the column width. Go to "Format Cells" -> select "Wrap Text" tick mark -> Ok.
