Quick question about sharepoint and excel

Hi All,

I have asked my IT team and google this question but have had no definitive answer, so any help would be super

I have created an excel spreadsheet that has triggers and it is in our sharepoint 2010 system. Is it possible that when a date has expired in the spreadsheet that it not only turns red on the spreadsheet but also happens in some way in sharepoint?

what do you mean by "trigger"? That's not a word that specifically means anything in excel.

If you want a cell (or range of cells) to turn red based on a date, then you could accomplish that with Conditional Formatting pretty easily... depending on what the logical rule for it is.

If you want it to happen "in some way" in Sharepoint, then that cell would display red on the preview pane just like it would in windows explorer, but if it's something like "turn the name of the file red in the file manager", then that's... I don't even know how you'd do that. I guess you could, maybe?
