I am taking a menu engenering class and have a bit of a problem that I am not sure how to solve. As part of the class, we have created 24 standardized recipes using excel. For the next part of the project I need to come up with a master inventory list with quantities for 4 weeks. I have the calculations for the 4 week quantities in the recipe work sheet. Is there a way for me to combine the data from all 24 recipes and consolidate duplicate ingredients while adding the quantities from each recipe on a new worksheet to create a master inventory?
Once I have a chieved that, is it possible to tell excel that when the unit of measure is ounces it needs to divide by 16 and displsy the calculation in lbs?
Eg. I would like excel to look through each of the recipes and tell me how much butter I need for all 24 and then convert the total amount needed from each recipe from oz to lbs.
